One of the best-known American Pop artists, Lichtenstein produced high impact images inspired biconic strips and the printing process using screen of bendy dots to create shading. Lichtenstein only designed a couple of jewels the Tear Drop cloisonné enamel pendant from 1965 that was inspired by his 1963 Crying Girl motif.
Lichtenstein's most famous jewel is Modern Head the he designed in 1968 for Multiple Inc, New York, the company founded by Toiny Castelli, the second wife of the noted New York dealer Leo Castelli who represented Lichtenstein and other Pop artists.
