Jean Arp only designed jewellery towards the end of his life, which are easily recognisable as part of his oeuvre of biomorphic shapes with soft contours. His best known pieces are a necklace and pendant/brooch he designed in 1960 for his friend and fellow Dadaist Marcel Janco to be made in the artistic colony of Ein-Hod that the latter had founded in 1953 at the foot of Mt Carmel, Israel.
